Everyone is invited to attend the eighth annual Red Mass, set for:
Tuesday, Oct. 2nd
St. Mary’s Cathedral,
1200 South Washington, Amarillo.
Bishop Patrick J. Zurek will celebrate Mass with local lawyers and judges, asking the Holy Spirit for wisdom for all who participate in the judicial system. Professor William “Bill” Piatt of St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio will be the keynote speaker. The Red Mass has marked the beginning of the judicial year since the 13th century in England and France and today is celebrated in cities throughout the United States.
