Gratitude House

St. Mary’s has begun a renovation project for the Gratitude House.

We are working on one apartment. This is an apartment complex that is part of the Downtown Women’s Center Transitional housing.
Once a woman has successfully completed several months of recovery, she is given the opportunity to move to Transitional Housing. This gives the woman the prospect of having her children live with her.

Previously, women with children had to either temporarily place their children with others for the duration of the recovery program or be turned away completely.
Carpets are out, popcorn ceilings are scraped, appliances have been evaluated and disposed of.

There is a need for some financial assistance for this project.

We need donations to rent a machine for texture, for texture supplies, for appliances, for lighting and possibly other materials.
